About Xenia, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Xenia, Ohio is a beautiful Midwestern city positioned in Greene County. It is located about 15 miles east of Dayton, Ohio and about 60 miles west of Columbus, Ohio. Xenia serves as the county seat of Greene County and is the 8th largest city therein. In 2016, the United States Census Bureau reported that 26,000 people were living in Xenia.
Xenia is located in an area that was originally inhabited by Native American Indian tribes. In 1803, a European-American named Joseph Vance surveyed the town. John Marshall was the first individual to construct a cabin within its borders. By 1840, the population of Xenia had grown significantly. The population growth was caused by the arrival of the Little Miami Railroad. By 1847, there were ten churches, two newspaper offices, an iron foundry, one bank, and seventeen stores operating in Xenia. Today, Xenia is a beautiful, developed city. Individuals who visit Xenia will discover manicured neighborhoods, excellent amenities and facilities, various recreational opportunities, and a friendly community.
Xenia is located in a climate that experiences four unique seasons. Weather during the winter seasons is very cool and precipitation is common. Daytime temperature highs throughout December, January, and February average in the mid-30s. Efficient heating systems are necessary. If these systems are not properly installed in the homes of residents, significant damage may happen. When properly installed, systems like heat pumps help residents stay warm and dry in their homes throughout the winter seasons.
In addition to heating units, residents of Xenia should hire HVAC technicians to install efficient cooling systems in their homes. Daytime temperatures highs average in the mid-80s during the months of summer but can reach the low-100s when extremely warm waves of warm air pass through the city. Precipitation is common throughout the summer seasons as well. Residents should be prepared and have cooling systems like central air conditioning units installed in their homes.
